TANK LEVELLER VALVE HANSEN SHOOF at a glance

The Hansen Tank Leveller Valve is supplied as a complete kit with 115mm weighted ball, 140mm blue threaded float, 2.5m nylon cord and adaptors for 32mm, 40mm and 50mm inlet pipes.

This device enables setting minimum and maximum water levels.

This prevents the constant turn on and off, of the pump whenever minimal amounts of water are drawn off.

This system combines well with rain harvesting, allowing the pump to turn on only when a minimum water level is reached.

The Hansen Leveller Valve is a float-operated, two-level tank/reservoir control valve for pump-fed filling. It automatically holds the water between a set minimum and maximum level so the pump is not constantly switching on and off. It is a diaphragm valve operated by a float and cord - not a barbed pipe joiner. 1. Screw the correct supplied threaded adaptor (32mm, 40mm or 50mm) into the valve inlet to match your delivery pipe, sealing the thread with PTFE tape. 2. Mount the valve at the tank so the outlet discharges into the tank and the float and cord assembly hang freely inside. 3. Fit the 140mm blue threaded float to the top and the 115mm weighted ball to the lower end of the 2.5m cord. 4. Set your maximum and minimum levels by adjusting the float and weighted-ball positions along the cord (level control adjustable from 50mm up to 2.5m): the valve closes when the rising float reaches the top setting and reopens when the water drops to the weighted-ball setting. 5. For high-flow inlets, fit the diffuser tube to the threaded outlet to reduce turbulence; open the anti-syphon punch-outs if plumbing multiple tanks. 6. Turn on the supply and confirm the valve shuts off at the set maximum and reopens at the set minimum. Tips: The valve body is glass-fibre reinforced nylon with UV-stabilised, non-corrosive components; it operates from 0.2 to 12 bar with flow up to 1275 L/min at 12 bar. Because it is float-operated, mount it where the float and cord can move without fouling the tank wall or fittings.

Common Questions

What comes in the Hansen Tank Leveller Valve kit?

The kit includes a 115mm weighted ball, 140mm blue threaded float, 2.5m nylon cord, and adaptors for 32mm, 40mm and 50mm inlet pipes.

What does a tank leveller valve do?

It lets you set minimum and maximum water levels in your tank. This stops the pump from constantly turning on and off when only small amounts of water are being used. It works well with rain harvesting systems — the pump will only turn on once the water level drops to your set minimum.

What size inlet pipes does this valve fit?

The kit comes with adaptors for 32mm, 40mm and 50mm inlet pipes.
