Mount the STL001 on your tank wall at eye level using the included brackets, positioning it so you can read the gauge from your usual vantage point. Connect the float arm to your tank's internal float mechanism—it needs to move freely without binding as the water level rises and falls. Once installed, test it by filling and emptying the tank to confirm the needle tracks accurately across the dial. Tips: Keep the gauge face clean and check it regularly during dry seasons when you're relying on tank levels most—a quick daily glance stops you from running dry unexpectedly. Mount it somewhere protected from direct sun and heavy rain if possible, as this extends the life of the dial and keeps readings clear and easy to spot from a distance.
