Synergy Pro Ant Bait is for the control of a range of ants in domestic, commercial and agricultural situations.

It contains two active ingredients with two different modes of action. Hydramethylnon is a metabolic inhibitor blocking the production of energy. Pyriproxyfen is an Insect Growth Regulator.

Within weeks there is substantial colony mortality resulting from the effect of Hydramethylnon and within eight weeks the colony has been eliminated as a result of Pyriproxyfen affecting remaining reproductive queens.

Situations: domestic and public service areas, commercial and industrial areas, forests and non-crop areas. Pests: Red Imported Fire Ant, Tropical Fire Ant, Bigheaded Ant, Argentine Ant, Yellow Crazy Ant, Black Ants, Electric Ant, Singapore Ant, Pony Ants, Meat Ants, Tyrant Ants, Green Tree Ants, Longlegged Ants, Sugar Ants, Pennant Ants. Rate: 2-4 kg per hectare. Bait may be laid utilising either hand held spreaders, spreaders attached to motor vehicles or aerial application. All spreading equipment should be calibrated on a regular basis to ensure that the permitted rate per hectare is achieved and not exceeded. In Tropical regions and for very dense infestations, the higher rate of 4kg may be required. A second application may be required 4-8 weeks following the initial application to ensure all colonies receive an adequate dose. Do not apply within 8 m of waterways when using ground based equipment, or within 80 m of waterways when applying from aircraft. DO NOT apply by hand dispersion methods. DO NOT apply directly onto water. For ground applications, DO NOT apply within 8m of water. DO NOT apply within 20m of water when applying by aerial application. DO NOT apply as a preventative measure for ant control. DO NOT apply if rain is expected within 24 hours of application. DO NOT water treated areas for at least 24 hours after application. DO NOT apply more than two applications per year with at least a 4-week interval. DO NOT apply more than one application per year to areas where land crabs may occur. DO NOT graze any treated area; or cut for stock food. Wash hands after use. Always read the registered label before use (APVMA 67965).
