Tempra 750 WG Herbicide is for the selective, post-emergence control of nutgrass in sugarcane, corn or maize and sorghum and for the selective post emergence control of nutgrass and mullumbimby couch in turf.
Being a dry, flowable herbicide, it disperses readily in water for ease of preparation - note that a
non-ionic surfactant is needed to ensure adequate plant uptake.

Tips for Best Results
- Apply to actively growing nutgrass: Hexazinone performs best when nutgrass is in active growth. In Queensland, this typically means applications during the warmer, wetter months when plants are not under heat or moisture stress.
- Ensure good soil moisture: Some soil moisture at and after application helps move hexazinone into the root zone where nutgrass tubers are located. Avoid applying to bone-dry soils or immediately before prolonged dry spells.
- Protect waterways: Hexazinone is water-soluble and mobile in soil. Do not apply near drains, watercourses, or in areas prone to run-off or flooding. Observe all label buffer zones to protect aquatic environments.
- Resistance management: Hexazinone is a Group C (PSII inhibitor) herbicide. To reduce the risk of resistance developing in nutgrass populations, rotate or integrate with other herbicide groups and cultural control methods such as cultivation or solarisation where practical.
