This kit contains the brackets and components to build a one way Adjustable Straining Assembly with a Steel Footplate and Tension Cable and Long Stay Pipe.

This kit does not include the concrete fence and strainer posts.

Use:

Quickest and most flexible way to build an adjustable stay use the Steel Footplate and Tension Cable.

The Steel Footplate (AC11) holds stay rail (AC02) in position and connects to Strainer Post with a flexible Steel Tensioning Cable (AC10) that has a loop that easily slips over the strainer post.

This is for one direction only.

Bolt the strainer assembly bracket kit to the base of your strainer post at ground level, with the steel footplate sitting flat on the ground to distribute anchor load across a wider soil area. Thread your straining wire or assembly through the bracket, then attach and tension your fence wire through the strainer mechanism. The one-way kit suits in-line fence terminations where wire loads come from a single direction only. Tips: A solid, well-assembled strainer is the most critical structural element of your fence — if your strainer moves, your whole fence goes slack. Compact the soil around the footplate after installation and check the assembly hasn't shifted after the first major tensioning. The footplate design reduces the need for a concrete anchor in most soil types, but in sandy or wet soils an additional concrete pour at the base improves holding.
