Push the pigtail post firmly into the ground with a twisting motion until it's seated properly—no hammering or tools needed. Attach your electric fence wire to the insulator clip, making sure the connection is tight so the wire won't slip under load. Space your posts roughly 1.5 to 2 metres apart for temporary fencing, depending on ground conditions and what you're containing. Tips: On harder ground, give the post a slight twist as you push down rather than just ramming it straight in—you'll get better penetration and stability. Check your wire connections after the first few days of use, especially in windy country, as stock pressure can work them loose if they're not properly seated.
