Thunderbird S-90B Solar Energizer Powers up to 10 km with 0.71 Joules.     

The S-90B is Ideal for small to medium fence applications, with the new improved LCD screen that displays voltage output and battery condition. It is fully portable with an inbuilt rechargeable battery and carry handle.

A Mains A.C. charger is supplied for poor prolonged weather conditions, as well as low and high power levels (low power can be used when battery conservation is required.

Mount the S-90B in a dry location near your fence line, ideally on a post or shelter to protect from weather. Connect the positive and negative terminals to your fence wire and earth stake respectively—use heavy-gauge cable for both connections and keep them as short as possible. Check that your earth stake is driven at least 1.2 metres into moist soil, away from the fence line. Switch on and test with a voltmeter across the fence wire to confirm it's operating. Tips: Keep vegetation trimmed back from your fence line or you'll lose half your output to the plants instead of the animals—it's the single biggest reason people think their energiser isn't working. If you're running this off battery, check water levels in lead-acid batteries monthly and top up with distilled water to keep them functioning properly. Make sure your earth is genuinely good; a poor earth connection will make the fence useless regardless of how good the energiser is.
