Genfarm Simagen Simazin 900 WG is a pre emergent herbicide containing 900 g/kg simazine. It provides residual control of a broad range of annual broadleaf and grass weeds in horticultural, broadacre crop, forestry, and non-crop situations. Simazine works through soil absorption, controlling weeds as they germinate and helping establish clean, weed-free zones for crops, trees, orchards, vineyards, and industrial or non-crop sites.

ACTIVE INGREDIENT
Simazine 900 g/kg (water dispersible granule – WG)

KEY FEATURES & BENEFITS
• Provides long-lasting residual weed control of susceptible annual weeds
• Effective in a range of crop and non-crop situations
• Soil-applied, acting mainly through roots of germinating weeds
• Compatible with other agronomic weed control products when used as directed
• High concentration reduces application rates per hectare

APPLICATIONS & USE SITUATIONS
Used for pre emergent control of annual broadleaf and grass weeds in:
• Horticultural and broadacre crops
• Orchards and vineyards
• Forestry land preparation and maintenance
• Non-crop areas such as industrial sites, driveways, firebreaks, and rights-of-way
• Pastures and lucerne where recommended by label instructions

MODE OF ACTION
Simazine belongs to the triazine herbicide group and works by inhibiting photosynthesis in susceptible weeds, especially at early growth stages. The herbicide is absorbed mainly through the soil and root system of germinating plants, providing effective pre emergent weed control.

DIRECTIONS FOR USE
Before spraying, ensure soil is moist or irrigation/rainfall occurs soon after application to activate the herbicide. Simazine 900 WG granules should be evenly applied over target areas and incorporated into the soil as per label instructions. Follow the recommended rates for specific crops, soil types, climate conditions, and weed species. Conduct a jar test for tank-mix compatibility if combining with other products.

STORAGE & HANDLING
Store in the original container in a cool, dry, well-ventilated place away from direct sunlight. Keep out of reach of children and follow all label safety directions. Dispose of empty packaging according to local regulations.

SAFETY DIRECTIONS
Avoid contact with eyes and skin. Do not inhale dust or spray mist. Wash hands after handling and before eating or drinking. Consult the product Safety Data Sheet (SDS) for specific first aid instructions.

WITHHOLDING & GRAZING PERIODS
Withdraw livestock from treated areas as directed by label instructions for specific crop situations. Harvest and grazing intervals vary depending on crop and region and should be checked on the approved label before use.

Mix GENFARM SIMAGEN at 1.5-2.5 kg/ha with water to form a uniform suspension and apply as a pre-emergent or early post-emergent herbicide spray. Apply when soil moisture is adequate and before weed germination for optimal control of target weeds in winter cereals and pulses.

Always read the current registered product label before use. Dose rates and withholding periods on this page are provided as a guide only. The registered label supplied with the product is the legal document and takes precedence. If in doubt, contact TGRM on (07) 5482 1692 or the manufacturer directly.

Apply in autumn/early winter when soil is moist to maximise herbicide availability; avoid spraying during dry conditions as effectiveness is reduced. Rotate with alternative herbicide modes of action to manage potential simazine resistance in repeated use situations.
