The 12?mm Stainless Steel D Shackle is a marine grade, corrosion resistant connecting fitting designed to link chain, rope, wire rope, webbing, or lifting/slings hardware. Its classic D shape and screw pin closure offer secure, removable connections in marine, outdoor, industrial, and general rigging applications. Made from A4/316 grade stainless steel, it withstands harsh environments and resists rust and corrosion.

Open the shackle by unscrewing the screw pin anti-clockwise. Pass the bow of the shackle through your attachment points (rings, chains, cables, fence anchor eyes) and screw the pin back in finger-tight, then tighten fully with a spanner. For fencing or static rigging applications, add a wire mousing (a small piece of tie wire threaded through the pin hole and looped around the shackle bow) to prevent the pin working loose under vibration. Tips: Always ensure the screw pin is fully tightened before loading the shackle. Stainless steel shackles are ideal for marine, dairy, and other wet or corrosive environments. This 316 stainless steel shackle is intended for marine, rigging and general utility use and is NOT rated for overhead lifting - do not use it to lift or suspend loads. Never side-load a shackle (applying force across the bow rather than along the axis).
