Feeding Guide:

Riverina Feed & Breed Pellets must be fed in conjunction with chaff, hay and / or pasture.

The below feeding rates are a guide only and should be adjusted according to the horses condition and roughage quality.

Mature Weight 500kg:

Empty/Early Pregnant Mares = 1.5-3.0 kg
Late Pregnant Mares = 2.5-4.0 kg
Lactating Mares = 4.5-6.0 kg
Weanlings = 1.5-3.0 kg
Yearlings = 3.0-4.5 kg
Stallions = 3.0-4.5 kg

Split suggested feeding rate between 2 feeds daily.

If pasture is limited a minimum of 1% of bodyweight should be fed as hay and / or chaff.

New feed needs to be introduced gradually over 10-14 days.

Always ensure your horse has access to cool, clean, fresh water.

THIS IS NOT A COMPLETE FEED. It has been designed to supplement hay and/or pasture feeding.

Provide fresh water at all times and ensure adequate roughage (hay or pasture) is available. Introduce this feed gradually over 7-10 days by mixing increasing amounts with your horse's current feed to avoid digestive upset. How much should I feed my horse?

Feeding rates depend on the horse's stage and weight. The bag includes a detailed feeding guide with suggested rates for different classes — empty mares, pregnant mares, lactating mares, weanlings, yearlings and stallions. These are a guide only and should be adjusted to suit your horse's condition and the quality of roughage available. Split the daily rate between 2 feeds. Does this feed need to be mixed with anything?

Yes — this is not a complete feed. It must be fed in conjunction with chaff, hay and/or pasture. If pasture is limited, a minimum of 1% of bodyweight should be fed as hay and/or chaff. Always ensure your horse has access to cool, clean, fresh water.

Can I introduce it straight away or do I need to change gradually?
