RECHARGE for Dogs Oral Rehydration Concentrate Solution (APVMA 40425), 500 mL. For animal treatment only.
As an aid in restoring fluid and electrolyte levels depleted by training, travelling, racing and hot weather. Aids rapid recovery from fatigue and dehydration.
RECHARGE for Dogs is a concentrated solution of body salts, including citrate salt, and glucose, formulated for dilution with water. The diluted solution is within the range of safe physiological concentration (isotonicity) to promote rapid and active replenishment of blood fluids and salts following exercise or panting during hot weather.
Directions for use: Ensure an adequate supply of clean, cool, fresh drinking water is available after offering RECHARGE drink. The RECHARGE concentrate should be diluted with clean, fresh drinking water as directed. The diluted drink should be offered as the first drink during cooling down from exercise.
Before exercise (offer as a drink prior to exercise or after travelling):
- 5 – 10 kg: mix 1.25 mL of Recharge into 30 mL of cool, clean water
- 11 – 20 kg: mix 2.5 mL of Recharge into 60 mL of cool, clean water
- 21 – 40 kg: mix 5 mL of Recharge into 125 mL of cool, clean water
After exercise (offer as a drink during cooling down period):
- 5 – 10 kg: mix 2.5 mL of Recharge into 60 mL of cool, clean water
- 11 – 20 kg: mix 5 mL of Recharge into 125 mL of cool, clean water
- 21 – 40 kg: mix 10 mL of Recharge into 250 mL of cool, clean water
Provide a bowl of fresh, cool water in conjunction with the Recharge drink.
Hot weather, nursing bitches (all weights): Mix Recharge at a rate of 40 mL/L of water. A bulk solution prepared and offered as an alternative drink in conjunction with fresh water. Portion out to each dog as required, in addition to a bowl of fresh water. Bulk solution may be refrigerated. Mix fresh solution each day.
Active constituents (each 1 litre contains): Chloride ions 43.3 g, Potassium ions 30.4 g, Sodium ions 27.6 g, Phosphate ions 17.4 g, Sulfate ions 11.8 g, Magnesium ions 3.0 g, Citrate ions 34.5 g, Glucose 260 g.
Store below 30°C (Room Temperature). Protect from freezing. Replace cap tightly after use.

How do I mix Recharge for my dog?
