Install the 9000L tank on level, well-drained ground with partial shade to minimise algae growth and water heating. Fit a float valve to the inlet to prevent overflow and maintain consistent water levels. Position the trough to allow 0.75m of face space per cow for dairy operations, or adjust spacing based on your herd size and grazing rotation. Connect to your water supply line and check all connections are secure before allowing livestock access. Tips: In Queensland's hot summers, water consumption can reach 100L per cow daily, so monitor levels regularly and ensure adequate capacity for your herd size. Clean the trough monthly to remove algae buildup, and disinfect periodically—poly's smooth surface makes cleaning much easier than concrete. Position the tank in a location that receives partial shade to reduce water temperature and algae growth, particularly during peak summer months.

This is a 9,000 litre round tank. It's 1790 mm tall and 2800 mm in diameter. It's designed to suit catchment areas from 61 to 120 square metres.

What outlets does the tank have?

The tank has two 1½" BSP outlets positioned at the 3 & 9 o'clock positions, plus a 1½" ball valve. There's also a 90 mm overflow outlet at the 12 o'clock position.

What material is the tank made from?

The tank is constructed with RGBlend20 raw material, which provides strength and UV protection.

What features help keep the water clean?

The tank comes with an inlet strainer and dust cover at the top to help keep debris out of your rainwater.

How is the tank lifted and installed?

The tank has 4 moulded-in lifting lugs to help with handling and installation. We'd recommend getting help with placement given the size and weight.
