Install the 10500L CROWN FORCE TECHNOLOGY RAPIDPLAS tank on level, well-drained ground with partial shade protection to minimise algae growth and water temperature rise. Fit a float valve to the inlet to prevent overflow and maintain consistent water levels for your livestock. Before first use, rinse the tank thoroughly with fresh water. Connect to your rainwater system or water supply line, ensuring all connections are secure and the tank is stable before allowing livestock access. Tips: Position the trough to provide adequate access for your herd—allow 0.75m of trough face per dairy cow, or adjust based on cattle numbers and drinking patterns. In Queensland's hot summer months, cattle water consumption can reach 100L per day, so monitor water levels closely during heat waves and consider additional shade structures. Clean the trough monthly to remove algae buildup, and disinfect periodically with a dilute bleach solution (1:10 ratio) to maintain water quality.
