When to use:
Apply Pyrethrum preferably on appearance of larvae to minimise crop damage
Pyrethrum should be applied at 5–7-day intervals during the growth of the crop.
The spraying interval should be shortened during periods of peak insect pressure
Apply at dusk to slow breakdown and extend period of insect exposure.
How to use:
Shake the container well before use
Ground spray equipment should be calibrated to apply 500-1500 litres of water per hectare,
depending on the size of the crop
Ensure thorough spray coverage but avoid excess spray run-off.
For knapsack application mix 30ml of Pyrethrum per 5 litres of water.
Mixing with Codacide vegetable oil can enhance activity

Pyrethrum is compatible with Triforine Rose Fungicide and Codacide Vegetable oil

Mixing and Application
Shake original container well before use. DO NOT store diluted insecticide. Prepare a fresh solution as necessary. Periodically agitate suspension during application to ensure mixing.
Fruit and Vegetable Crops
Rate: Mix 2 mL per 1 L of water
Apply as a fine mist spray when infestation occurs. Pests must be contacted with spray. Monitor treated crops for surviving pests. If pests have not been adequately controlled reapply or apply an insecticide with a different mode of action.
Ornamentals
Rate: Mix 2 mL per 1 L of water
Apply as a fine mist spray when infestation occurs. Pests must be contacted with spray.
Ferns and Indoor Plants
Rate: Mix 2 mL per 3 L of water
Apply as a fine mist spray when infestation occurs. Pests must be contacted with spray.
Buildings (Domestic, Commercial, Industrial, Agricultural)
Surface Spray: 125-170 mL per 100 m² diluted with water
Space Spray/Cold Fog: 35 mL per 1000 m³ diluted with water
Thermal (Hot) Fogging: 70 mL per 1000 m³ diluted with oil
For crawling insects, direct spray into cracks and crevices. For surface and space spray treatments, dilute 100 mL per 900 mL water (or oil for thermal fogging).
Outdoors
Adult mosquitoes: 280 mL/ha diluted with oil
Midges and flies: 500 mL/ha diluted with oil
Use through misting or fogging equipment.

Equipment
Pyrate Natural Insecticide may be sprayed through boom sprayers, misting equipment, thermal fogging equipment, cold aerosol generating ULV equipment, hand-held or knapsack sprayers in accordance with rates and situations specified in the Directions for Use.
Application Restraints
- DO NOT apply if rain is expected within 2 hours
- DO NOT mist in windy conditions
- DO NOT spray the moving parts of any machinery, electric motors or switchgear
Product Information
Pyrate Natural Insecticide contains pyrethrum extracted from pyrethrum daisies. The natural extract is formulated with other synthetic constituents to optimise effectiveness.
Storage
Store in closed, original container in a dry cool, well ventilated area. Avoid storage at temperatures below 15°C if possible. If product is stored below 15°C some haziness may be apparent, which will disappear on shaking container. DO NOT store for prolonged periods in direct sunlight.
Withholding Period
DO NOT HARVEST FOR 1 DAY AFTER SPRAYING
Resistance Management
Group 3A insecticide. Some naturally occurring insect biotypes resistant to Group 3A insecticides may exist through normal genetic variability. Resistant individuals can eventually dominate the insect population if used repeatedly. For resistance management strategies, contact your local supplier or agricultural department agronomist.
