Laucke Mills Pullet Grower Mp 20kg

Pullet Grower MP is a specialised micro-pellet poultry feed from Laucke Mills, formulated for developing layer pullets from approximately 6 weeks of age until they reach point of lay. It provides a balanced supply of protein, energy, vitamins and minerals to support steady growth and development before the birds commence egg production.

Pullet Grower MP is intended to:

• Support strong skeletal and body development in young laying birds.
• Provide the nutrients required for healthy growth and feather development.
• Prepare pullets for the nutritional demands of egg production.
• Build adequate body reserves before the birds come into lay.
• Provide a controlled, balanced diet rather than relying on grain alone.
• Help protect against coccidiosis, as the feed contains lasalocid sodium.

The relatively high linoleic acid level is intended to help ensure good body reserves going into lay; linoleic acid is also associated with egg-size development.

Micro-pellet form

The MP means micro pellet. The small pellet size makes the feed easier for growing pullets to consume and helps provide a more uniform intake of nutrients compared with birds selectively picking through a mixed feed.

Feeding program

The recommended progression is:

Day-old ? 6 weeks:
Feed a suitable Chick Starter crumble ad libitum.

6 weeks ? approximately 18 weeks / point of lay:
Feed Pullet Grower MP ad libitum. Laucke notes that feeding may be restricted where necessary to control body weight.

Approximately 18 weeks / point of lay:
Change to an appropriate layer feed.

Fresh, clean water should be available at all times.
