What It's Used For
The Bainbridge Ezi Squeeze 40ml Pour-On Applicator is designed for accurate, efficient delivery of pour-on treatments to sheep and cattle. It handles a wide range of products including drenches, tickicides, lousicides, flukicides and endectocides, making it a versatile tool for parasite control across your livestock operation.
Manufactured by ISL Animal Health to ISO 9001:2015 standards and certified by Bureau Veritas, this applicator is built to enhance the effectiveness of the pharmaceutical products it delivers. It comes supplied with three nozzle types — a T-bar nozzle for sheep and cattle pour-ons like Maverick, Avenge and Extinosad; a star tip nozzle for cattle products like Cydectin, Eprinex and Paramax; and a fan tip nozzle for cattle tickicides including Acatak, Wintex and Oztik.
Setup: Select the appropriate nozzle for your product — T-bar for sheep and general cattle pour-ons, star tip for cattle endectocides, and fan tip for tickicides. Attach securely to the applicator before filling. Connect the santoprene hose to your product container using the large diameter hose spigot.
Setting the dose: Rotate the Dose Selector at the top of the applicator to your required dosage volume. The numbered dial allows quick, easy adjustment between treatments or animal classes without tools.
Priming and use: The offset barrel outlet aids priming — squeeze the trigger a few times until product flows consistently. The SoftLock valve technology allows faster refilling, and the high-quality valves require around 60% less effort to squeeze compared to standard applicators, reducing hand fatigue during long sessions. The no after-spurt design minimises product wastage between animals.
Cleaning and maintenance: After use, flush the applicator thoroughly with clean water or an appropriate solvent compatible with the product used. Disassemble the nozzle and hose for thorough rinsing. Allow all components to dry completely before storage. The santoprene hose is designed to withstand harsh chemicals including flukicides, tickicides and lousicides, but thorough cleaning after each use will extend the life of the applicator.
Tips for Best Results
- Always match the correct nozzle to your product — using the wrong tip can affect application accuracy and product distribution across the animal's back.
- Prime the gun before starting each session to ensure consistent dosing from the first animal. The offset barrel outlet is specifically designed to make this quicker and easier.
- Never mix different chemical products without thoroughly flushing the applicator between uses — residues can reduce the effectiveness of the next product or damage internal components.
- Store the applicator clean, dry and away from direct sunlight when not in use. Leaving product sitting in the gun between sessions can cause valve blockages, especially with thicker formulations.
- Check the dose selector setting every time you switch between animal classes or products — it's easy to overlook after a break in treatment.
- Wear appropriate PPE including gloves and eye protection when handling pour-on chemicals, particularly tickicides and flukicides.
