Install the drinker to a water source with adequate pressure (15-40 PSI recommended) using poly pipe or equivalent tubing connected to the inlet valve. Mount securely at an appropriate height for your livestock - approximately 60-75cm for cattle, 50-60cm for horses, and 30-40cm for sheep. Fill the 9-litre bowl and check that water flows freely and the float valve operates smoothly before allowing stock access. Tips: Position the drinker in a well-drained area to prevent muddy surrounds and stock contamination of the water source. Regularly monitor water flow and check for algae buildup, especially during warm months, by flushing the system weekly. Ensure the drinker is protected from direct sunlight where possible to reduce algae growth and maintain cooler water temperatures. Common Questions

Why is stainless steel better than other materials for a poultry drinker?

Stainless steel is more resistant to rust and corrosion, which means your drinker will last longer and stay cleaner even with regular use and exposure to moisture. This makes it a more durable investment for your poultry operation.

What capacity does this drinker hold?

This model holds 9 litres, making it suitable for small to medium flocks. The Bainbridge A8052 is part of a range available in different sizes, so if you need a larger or smaller capacity, other options may be available.

Can I hang this drinker up?

Yes. The drinker includes a handle that is specifically designed so you can either hang it up securely or carry it easily. This makes it convenient for placement in your coop or run.

Is this drinker easy to clean?

The stainless steel construction is smooth and non-porous, which makes cleaning straightforward. Regular cleaning helps keep your poultry healthy and the drinker in good working condition.

Will this drinker rust?

The stainless steel design is specifically built to resist rust and corrosion, reducing the maintenance issues you'd face with other metal materials. This durability is why stainless steel is a worthwhile investment for long-term use.
