Whites Post Driver range provides an easy way to drive steel posts into the ground.

The heavy weight of the driver means the user only needs to lift the driver over the post and let the weight of the driver do the work.

Position the post driver over your fence post and drive it straight down with firm, controlled strokes using a sledgehammer or post rammer. Keep the driver aligned vertically to avoid bending the post, and check your post is sitting plumb every metre or so as you drive it in. Stop when the post is at your marked depth and remove the driver by lifting straight up. Tips: Wet the ground before driving posts if it's been dry — it makes the job easier and reduces strain on both you and the post. Mark your desired depth on the post with paint or chalk before you start so you know when to stop, rather than guessing and ending up with uneven fence lines. Keep the post driver clean between jobs or dirt will jam up the mechanism.
