Unroll the tape and run it through your insulators at a height suitable for your stock—typically 120cm for cattle, 90-100cm for horses. Attach one end to your energiser with a quality lead-out cable, then tension the tape moderately as you go (don't over-tighten poly; it'll snap when stock lean on it). Join lengths using proper poly tape joiners or by overlapping 10cm and crimping with a connector block. Tips: Keep the tape clean and dry where it contacts insulators—dirt reduces conductivity and your fence won't shock properly. Check tension regularly after rain or heat; poly stretches and shrinks, so you'll need to tighten it up every few months. For horse paddocks especially, the visibility of this tape is its main advantage—horses see it and respect it, which saves you a lot of grief.
