The hexagonal body makes them extremely simple to install. Importantly, Philmac threaded fittings are suitable for working pressures up to PN16 for sizes up to 2”, PN12 for 2-1/2” and PN10 for 3” and 4” sized fittings.

The PLUG END BSP 3/4" (20mm) is designed to seal the end of rural poly pipe systems rated to 800kPa. Insert the barbed end firmly into the poly pipe until fully seated, then secure with a stainless steel clamp positioned just below the barb shoulder and tightened evenly. Ensure the pipe end is clean and straight before insertion to achieve a proper watertight seal. This fitting is suitable for both gravity-fed and pump-fed rural water systems in Queensland. Tips: Always use stainless steel clamps with barb fittings to prevent corrosion and ensure longevity in rural environments. For a more permanent seal in fixed installations, consider solvent weld fittings as an alternative to barb joiners. Check your system's operating pressure doesn't exceed 800kPa—most gravity-fed systems operate well below this, but pump-fed systems should be verified.
