Sow Haifa white clover at 2–4 kg/ha during autumn (March–May) or spring (August–September) in SE Queensland. Ensure seed is inoculated with Group B Rhizobium before sowing. Sow at a maximum depth of 5–10mm into a firm, weed-free seedbed on fertile, well-drained soil with pH 5.5–7.0. For best results, pair with perennial ryegrass or fescue, or oversow into subtropical grass pastures—avoid sowing with vigorous summer grasses that will shade out the clover. Tips: White clover is a high-bloat-risk legume—introduce livestock gradually, avoid grazing when pasture is wet, frosted, or wilted, maintain pasture height above 10cm, and consider bloat prevention additives. Haifa's medium-large leaves make it ideal for higher rainfall areas (750mm+) and irrigated pastures. The clover will fix 100–200 kg nitrogen per hectare per year, reducing fertiliser inputs. Do not oversow into vigorous summer grasses, as they will shade out and suppress clover establishment.
