Sowing Rate:
3-6kg/ha as a sole pasture & 2-5kg/ha as a mixed pasture

Sow Siratro Aztec seed during spring-summer (October-December) into a prepared seedbed at a rate of 1-2 kg/ha, covering seed to a depth of 10-20mm. Apply phosphorus fertiliser at 20-30 kg/ha P if soil testing below 8 ppm P to support establishment. Inoculation with Cowpea group (CB/M) rhizobia is recommended, though natural inoculation may occur if siratro or cowpea has previously been grown on the paddock. Tips: Pair Siratro Aztec with compatible tropical grasses such as Rhodes, signal, setaria, digitaria, kikuyu or panic to maximise pasture productivity. Implement rotational grazing or rest periods to prevent heavy grazing damage and ensure long-term plant persistence. Established plants are extremely frost-hardy and will recover from crowns in spring despite winter defoliation.
