Excellent drought tolerance

Twining, climbing growth habit

Productive over a wide range of soil types

High quality nutritive value hay

Suited to cut and carry

Sowing Rate:
3-6kg/ha as a sole pasture & 2-5kg/ha as a mixed pasture

Sow during spring–summer (October–December) into a prepared seedbed, covering seed to 10–20 mm. Sowing rate: 3–6 kg/ha as a sole legume pasture; 2–5 kg/ha in a mix. Siratro's rhizobium is Group M (strain CB756) — not the cowpea inoculant. This seed is coated; AgriCote carries rhizobia on some tropical legumes but not all, so confirm whether this coated batch already includes Group M — if not, or for bare seed, inoculate with Group M (CB756) before sowing. Apply 20–30 kg P/ha if soil P is below ~8 ppm. Pair with tropical grasses (Rhodes, signal, setaria, digitaria, kikuyu, panic) and manage grazing/rest for persistence; established plants are frost-hardy and recover from the crown in spring. Guide only — confirm the inoculant and rates with your supplier and a local agronomist. TGRM (07) 5482 1692.
