OMYA CALCIPRILL LIME 1 TON BAG at a glance

Omya Calciprill is a 2-6 mm prill made from very finely ground high purity calcium carbonate. It can be applied to established pastures or crops at any time and is ideal for rapid pH adjustment. Omya Calciprill is highly reactive and equally effective at rates 80-90% lower than required by standard aglime. The rounded prills mean it can be applied, on its own or with additional fertilizer & seeds, by anyone with standard fertilizer spreaders.

Why consider using Omya Calciprill:

Rapid pH improvement means rapid crop response
Flexible application means less dependence on weather conditions
Useful in precision agriculture
Can be applied by air to steep terrain allowing utilization of all pasture
Excellent source of calcium, an essential nutrient in plant cell structure
Allows farmers to carry out regular soil maintenance.

Apply OMYA Calciprill according to your soil test result and target pH — not by a blanket tonnage. Calciprill is a highly reactive, finely ground high-purity calcium carbonate prill, so it works at much lower rates than conventional aglime (Omya describes it as effective at rates well below standard aglime). Omya's current Australian guidance is a maintenance rate of about 300–450 kg/ha/year (around 300 on clay, 350 on silty and 450 on sandy soils) and a progressive pH-improvement rate of about 600–700 kg/ha/year (around 600 on sandy, 650 on silty and 700 on clay soils). Confirm the exact rate for your soil type and pH target with a current soil test and your agronomist. Spread evenly with a lime or fertiliser spreader; it can also be applied by air on steep country. Tips: Always soil test before applying so the rate matches your pH and soil type. Calciprill can be applied to established pasture or crop for a rapid response, and it can be applied on its own or blended with fertiliser — Omya specifically supports blending Calciprill into fertiliser blends. Allow time for full pH correction on more acidic soils. Read the current product information and confirm rates for your situation.
