Place the Olssons Stone Block in an accessible location away from water troughs, allowing free-choice access for cattle, sheep or horses. Position the block on firm, level ground or use a lick block holder to prevent excessive soiling. Provide approximately 1 block per 10–20 animals, adjusting based on herd size and consumption rates. Monitor intake regularly and replace blocks as they are worn down. Tips: Position blocks in sheltered areas to extend their lifespan and encourage consistent use across all animals in the mob. Rotate block locations periodically to ensure equal access for subordinate animals and prevent overgrazing around the block site. Remember that lick blocks are self-regulated supplements—excessive consumption may indicate nutritional gaps in your pasture or diet that require additional supplementation.
