Olssons Pool Salt is used to maintain the correct salt concentration in salt-chlorinated swimming pools. Before adding salt, check your chlorinator manufacturer's recommended salt level (commonly around 3,000–6,000 ppm depending on the unit) and test your pool's current level so you only add what's needed. To add: with the filtration pump running, broadcast the salt slowly around the pool, ideally over the deep end and floor. Brush any undissolved salt across the floor to help it dissolve and stop it settling in one spot. Run the pump for around 24 hours to fully circulate and dissolve the salt before re-testing. Tips: Add salt in stages and re-test rather than overdosing — it is easy to add more but difficult to dilute. Do not pour salt directly into the skimmer box or through the chlorinator cell. Keep the bag dry and sealed in storage.
