Olsson's Equine Calcium Plus provides a source of calcium & vitamin D for horses grazing high phosphorus pastures.
Tropical grasses such as kikuyu, buffel, setaria, green panic, para grass, pangola grass, guinea grass, signal grass and purple pigeon grass contain oxalates that bind calcium, reducing its availability for absorption, and diets high in phosphorus, such as those containing significant cereal grain, can also reduce calcium availability.
Feeding
Horses: 50-100 g per head per day.
Feed on an ad-lib basis whenever offending grasses are accessible. Suitable for all types of horses.
Storage
Store out of direct sunlight and under cover. Store below 30°C (room temperature). Avoid contact with skin and eyes.
Available in 2 & 20 kg blocks.
