Howzat SC is a systemic fungicide for the control of fungal diseases in various crops including chickpeas, lentils, faba beans and macadamia nuts, as per the Directions for Use table.

Howzat SC Fungicide (500 g/L carbendazim, Group 1 systemic fungicide) is applied as a foliar spray. Macadamia nuts (husk spot): 50 mL per 100 L of water plus a wetting agent, applied at 5 and 8 weeks after main flowering, maximum 2 applications per season; withholding period 14 days (harvest) and 4 weeks (grazing/cutting). Chickpeas, faba beans, lentils and vetch (chocolate spot, grey mould): 500 mL/ha in at least 100 L water/ha, maximum 2 consecutive applications at 14-day intervals; withholding period 4 weeks (harvest and grazing). DO NOT apply to turf, grapes, cucurbits, citrus, custard apple, mango, pome fruit or stone fruit. This is a Schedule 7 Dangerous Poison – read the label and SDS and wear the specified PPE.

Time macadamia sprays to the label windows (5 and 8 weeks after main flowering) and remove fallen nuts before spraying; do not exceed 2 applications per season and rotate with fungicides from other groups to manage Group 1 resistance. Avoid spraying during extreme heat.
