Macadamia nuts: Macadamia husk spot (Pseudocercospora spp.). Chickpeas, faba beans, lentils and vetch: Chocolate spot (Botrytis fabae), Grey mould (Botrytis cinerea). All States (APVMA 52878).

Restraints: DO NOT apply to turf, grapes, curcurbits (including melons), citrus fruit, custard apple, mango, pome fruit (apples or pears) or stone fruit (including cherries). Spray drift restraints: DO NOT allow bystanders to come into contact with the spray cloud. DO NOT apply in a manner that may cause an unacceptable impact to native vegetation, agricultural crops, landscaped gardens and aquaculture production, or cause contamination of plant or livestock commodities, outside the application site from spray drift. Wherever possible, correctly use application equipment designed to reduce spray drift and apply when the wind direction is away from these sensitive areas. DO NOT apply unless the wind speed is between 3 and 20 kilometres per hour at the application site during the time of application. DO NOT apply if there are hazardous surface temperature inversion conditions present at the application site during the time of application. Surface temperature inversion conditions exist most evenings one to two hours before sunset and persist until one to two hours after sunrise. Tree crops - Macadamia nuts: Macadamia Husk Spot (Pseudocercospora spp.), All States, 50 mL plus a wetting agent (at 100 mL/100 L) per 100 L water (dilute spraying). Apply at 5 and 8 weeks after main flowering - Stage 2 anthesis (white flowering stage). Remove any fallen nuts from under trees prior to spraying. DO NOT apply more than 2 applications of HOWZAT SC per season. For all uses in this table: apply by dilute or concentrate spraying equipment, and apply the same total amount of product to the target crop whether applying by dilute or concentrate spraying methods. Other crops - Chickpeas, faba beans, lentils and vetch: Chocolate Spot (Botrytis fabae), Grey Mould (Botrytis cinerea), All States, 500 mL/ha. Apply a maximum of two consecutive applications at a 14 day intervals. Apply a minimum of 100 L of water per hectare. Export of treated produce: Growers should note that suitable MRLs or import tolerances may not be established in all markets for produce treated with HOWZAT SC. If you are growing produce for export, please check with Adama for the latest information on MRLs and import tolerances BEFORE using HOWZAT SC. Mixing: SHAKE WELL BEFORE USE. HOWZAT SC is a liquid suspension to be mixed with water for application as a spray. Add the required quantity to a partly filled spray tank and agitate. Complete filling while agitating. Ensure the spray mixture is properly agitated before restarting after stoppage. The addition of a wetting agent e.g. BS1000 or equivalent, to the spray mixture improves the distribution of the spray on hard to wet plants. Re-entry (chickpeas, faba beans, lentils and macadamia nuts): DO NOT allow entry into treated areas until the spray has dried unless wearing cotton overalls buttoned to the neck and wrist (or equivalent clothing) and chemical resistant gloves. Clothing must be laundered after each day's use. Protection: HOWZAT SC is of low toxicity to bees. Very toxic to aquatic life with long lasting effects. DO NOT contaminate wetlands or watercourses with this product or the used containers. Safety directions: WARNING - Contains carbendazim which causes birth defects and irreversible male infertility in laboratory animals. Avoid contact with carbendazim. Very dangerous, particularly the concentrate. Poisonous if absorbed by skin contact, inhaled or swallowed. May irritate the eyes and skin. Avoid contact with eyes and skin. DO NOT inhale vapour or spray mist. When opening the container, preparing and using the prepared spray, wear elbow-length chemical resistant gloves and face shield. After use and before eating, drinking or smoking, wash hands, arms and face thoroughly with soap and water. After each day's use, wash gloves, face shield and contaminated clothing. Storage: Store in a locked room or place away from children, animals, food, feedstuffs, seed and fertilisers. Store in the closed, original container in a cool, well-ventilated area.
