Common Questions

What is NTS Soft Rock used for?

NTS Soft Rock is a clay-based rock phosphate fertiliser designed to supply phosphorus, calcium, silicon, and trace elements to the soil. It's used for crop production, vegetables, fruit trees, pasture and hay production, soil re-mineralisation, and home gardens. It's also suitable for organic and regenerative farming systems.

Is NTS Soft Rock approved for organic farming?

Yes. NTS Soft Rock is registered as an Australian Certified Organic Farm Input (ACO), so it can be used in organic and regenerative farming systems.

How much phosphorus does it contain?

NTS Soft Rock contains total phosphorus of 8–9% on a dry basis. Most of this is citrate insoluble phosphorus (7.2–8.2%), which releases gradually throughout the growing season. There's also a small amount of citrate soluble and water soluble phosphorus for more immediate plant availability.

How should I store NTS Soft Rock?

Store the 25kg bag in a cool, dry place in its original packaging. Keep the bag sealed until you're ready to use it to prevent moisture absorption.

What application rate should I use?

Application rates depend on your use. For broadacre or cropping, the rate is 200kg to 1.5 tonne per hectare depending on your soil test and crop requirements. For home and garden use, approximately 1.25kg per 10m² is recommended for soil enrichment. Always follow the rate on the product label or contact TGRM on (07) 5482 1692 for specific advice.
