Slide the netting clip over the top of your star picket or droplock post, then feed the netting wire through the clip opening and push down firmly until it seats properly. Space clips every 300-400mm up the post depending on your netting height, working from bottom to top. Make sure each clip is tight enough that the netting won't slip under pressure from stock, but don't over-tighten or you'll damage the netting. Tips: Have a mate help you keep the netting straight and under even tension as you clip — trying to do it solo often results in twisted sections that look dodgy and weaken the fence. These clips wear out faster in high-stock-pressure areas, so do a walk-through every few months and replace any that have cracked or lost their grip, especially on the shaded side where UV hits less but moisture can cause brittleness.
