MultiCube Lucerne & Oaten Hay Cubes, 20kg bag.
Made from tested leafy green lucerne and export quality oaten hay, MultiCube Lucerne & Oaten Hay Cubes are a forage alternative to hay or chaff.
Australian hay is coarsely chopped and then compressed using high pressure and temperature into 32mm hay cubes, free from any additives.
MultiCube states they are suitable for all horses and ponies in work or needing extra weight gain or those who cannot handle full lucerne.
Feeding
Gradually introduce soaked hay cubes into your horse's diet over a 14 day period. Soak the hay cubes (1:1 ratio) in either cold or warm water until they are properly softened. After 14 days you can reduce the water gradually to feed the hay cubes dry, or if your horse prefers, they can continue to be fed soaked.
Horses require a minimum of 1.5% of body weight (kg) of forage per day, for example 4.5kg per day for a 300kg pony or 7.5kg for a 500kg horse. Always feed by weight not volume.
Storage
Hay cubes are a natural product and must be stored in a cool, dry well-ventilated area out of direct sunlight. MultiCube recommends they are consumed within 3 months of purchase for optimal freshness.
