Genfarm Methomyl 225 Insecticide (APVMA 81052) is a Group 1A insecticide containing 225 g/L methomyl (an anti-cholinesterase compound), for the control of insect pests in various crops as specified in the Directions for Use.
Poison schedule: DANGEROUS POISON (S7).
Crops: registered crops include cotton, potatoes, ginger, tobacco, brassicas, beans, tomatoes, sweet corn, apples, citrus, grapes, strawberries, soybeans and other pulses, peanuts, maize, sorghum and cereals; pests include heliothis, armyworm, loopers, cutworm, green vegetable bug, thrips, codling moth and bean fly, as specified for each crop on the label.
Withholding periods vary by crop: not required when used as directed for cotton, ginger, potatoes, tobacco and some others, up to 14 days for crops such as maize, peanuts, sorghum and wheat. Grazing restraints also apply. Read the label for your crop.
Bees: Dangerous to bees. DO NOT spray any plants in flower while bees are foraging.
Safety: Very dangerous, particularly the concentrate. Product and spray is poisonous if absorbed by skin contact, inhaled or swallowed.
