Suitable for

High sulphur mineral block with garlic to help control parasites and support increased production.

MegaMin Extra Sulphur + Garlic Block is designed to deliver high levels of sulphur along with a broad spectrum of natural macro and trace minerals. It also contains garlic (allicin) to support rumen function, assist in parasite control, and encourage wool growth. The block provides good amounts of phosphorus and magnesium, which are often the most limiting nutrients for livestock grazing lush green pastures. It is ideal for cattle and sheep grazing forage sorghum, as the sulphur helps detoxify prussic acid.

The block includes a concentrated garlic liquid rich in bioactive compounds, including allicin, and extra sulphur to help livestock naturally resist external parasites like buffalo fly and ticks.

It contains sulphur and phosphorus along with a balanced blend of macro and trace minerals.

Formulated to improve production and support weight gain for livestock grazing forage sorghum, lush green feed, or areas deficient in sulphur.

Feeding Guide
Recommended daily intake: 10-20 g per 100 kg body weight per day

Feed Rate (g/day) / Head per 20 kg Block:
Cattle: 40-80 g, 15 head per block
Sheep/Goats: 5-10 g, 40 head per block

Consumption Management
Livestock may consume higher levels of the block at the beginning of a supplementation program, often due to cravings for specific minerals or protein in the mix. Consumption rates should be monitored and managed accordingly.

Start feeding 2-3 weeks before grazing forage sorghum. Initial consumption may be higher due to salt or mineral cravings.

Place the MEGAMIN EXTRA SULPHUR + GARLIC LICK BLOCK in an accessible location away from water troughs, allowing free-choice access for cattle, sheep or horses. Position one block per 10–20 animals depending on herd size and grazing area. Monitor consumption regularly and replace blocks as they are worn down. This block provides self-regulated nutritional supplementation; animals will consume at their own rate based on nutrient requirements and block hardness. Tips: Position blocks in sheltered areas or on hard ground to minimise wastage and mud contamination, and rotate placement occasionally to ensure all stock access the supplement. Lick blocks are most effective when pasture or feed is already meeting energy requirements; if primary deficiencies are energy-based, supplementary feeding may be necessary. Keep blocks away from troughs and muddy areas to maintain palatability and prevent spoilage.

Common Questions

What is MegaMin Extra Sulphur + Garlic Lick Block used for?

It's a mineral block designed to deliver high levels of sulphur along with macro and trace minerals. It contains garlic to support rumen function, assist in parasite control, and encourage wool growth. It's particularly useful for cattle and sheep grazing forage sorghum, as the sulphur helps detoxify prussic acid. It also helps livestock naturally resist external parasites like buffalo fly and ticks.

Which animals can use this block?

It's suitable for cattle, sheep, and goats. It's ideal for animals grazing forage sorghum, lush green feed, or areas deficient in sulphur, and can be used year-round.

How much should I feed per animal?

The recommended daily intake is 10–20 g per 100 kg body weight per day. For cattle, that's roughly 40–80 g per head per day (about 15 head per 20 kg block). For sheep and goats, it's 5–10 g per head per day (about 40 head per 20 kg block). Livestock may consume more at the start due to mineral cravings, so monitor and manage consumption accordingly.

When should I start feeding this block?

For forage sorghum grazing, start feeding 2–3 weeks before the animals go onto the crop. It can be used year-round for general supplementation, and is particularly useful in green or wet seasons or in sulphur-deficient areas.
