How much do I feed?
For a 500kg horse in moderate work on typical pastures, AgSolutions lists 200g/day; on setaria, 600g/day. These rates are for horses receiving less than 1 kg/day of supplementary hay or hard feed. 1 heaped scoop (in bucket) = approx 100g.
Do I reduce the rate if I feed hay or hard feed?
Yes. Reduce by 70g/day for every 1kg of lucerne hay, 25g/day for every 1kg of low-oxalate grass hay and 50g/day for every 1kg of complete feed.
Can it be fed with other supplements?
MegaMin Bone Defender should be fed with the recommended dose of MegaMin Equine Enhancer or as part of a balanced diet.
