The Milk Bar™ 20 has a solid base so calves cannot knock it over, even when they are close to weaning.
A fairly large feeder, the feeder bowl stacks inside the base when not in use to reduce storage space.
There are loads of creative ways to fill the Milk Bar™ 20, but typically a hose is the easiest to avoid carrying buckets through boisterous calves.
Being perfectly round, you can feed 20 calves right through to weaning, either inside or out.
Fitted with Milk Bar™ Teats to improve average daily gains.

How to use
The Milk Bar™ 20 comes with the feeder bowl stacked inside the base and a pack of the bolts and instructions you will need to assemble the feeder ready for use.
1. Place the feeder bowl upside down on the ground.
2. Place the base on to the feeder bowl, lining up the bolt holes.
3. Screw the bolts into place. They are wingnut so no need for any tools.
4. Fill with milk and leave them to it!
How do I change my teats?
Milk Bar™ Teats have a pull through design to sit snugly against the feeder wall for optimum hygiene. However, while this is the most hygienic system, it can also be difficult to change teats!
Use a Teat Tool: This is by far the easiest method. The purpose designed Teat Tool plucks the teat from the feeder with minimal effort in seconds.
Pull the teats out by hand: When removing by hand, make sure to either pull the teat directly down or up. If you try to pull the teat straight out, it will be a tough job!
Cut the teats out: Make sure the blade is sharp and you use the knife away from you.
Be sure to check the teat alignment is correct and the slit is vertical!
Cleaning
Milk is a difficult substance to clean off of surfaces. You need hot water to remove the fat, but the heat can bake the protein onto the surface. Using warm water to get rid of the protein leaves a film of fat. When fats and proteins stick to the surface of equipment, they form a biofilm, a nutrient-rich layer in which bacteria grow.
The biofilm protects bacteria from the cleaning process and results in equipment that appears clean but has bacteria on the surface. The cleaning process not only needs to remove fat and protein from surfaces but prevent the formation of a biofilm.
Made from renewable, high quality natural rubber, Milk Bar™ Teats are kinder to the environment. Natural rubber absorbs the milk fat and protein which can cause the teats to become softer and start to drip. The milk flow can become faster, decreasing calf performance.
Recommended cleaning: Use Milk Bar™ Detergent, a dishwashing detergent, or any other non-chlorine/ chloride dairy detergent twice a week. Important! Chlorine/chloride based dairy detergents degrade natural rubber which reduces teat performance and voids any warranty.
1. Rinse your teats with water.
2. Use a gentle detergent, following the manufacturer’s instructions. Do not use Chlorine/chloride based dairy detergents!
3. Using a brush, lightly scrub the outside of the teats making sure to bend the teats. By bending the teats, any milk gets pushed back inside the feeder so the detergent can make contact with the inside of the teat wall.
4. Rinse clean.

Once assembled, flip it upright and it's ready to fill.
Filling: The easiest way to fill the feeder is with a hose, saving you from carrying heavy buckets through a pen of eager calves. Fill with your prepared milk or milk replacer to the appropriate level for the number of calves being fed, then let them get to it.
Changing Teats: Milk Bar™ Teats use a pull-through design that sits flush against the feeder wall for hygiene. To remove teats, the recommended method is to use a Milk Bar™ Teat Tool, which pulls the teat free quickly and easily. If removing by hand, pull the teat directly up or down — not straight outward — to avoid making the job harder than it needs to be.
Cleaning: After each feeding session, rinse the feeder bowl thoroughly with clean water. For a more thorough clean, the wingnut assembly allows the feeder to be broken down easily. Wash all surfaces, teat holes, and teats with warm water and an appropriate food-safe detergent, rinse well, and allow to dry before the next use.
Tips for Best Results
- Use a hose to fill the feeder rather than carrying buckets — it's much easier and safer when calves are pushing around you at feeding time.
- Pull the Milk Bar™ teats directly up or down when removing by hand, or invest in a Milk Bar™ Teat Tool to make teat changes quick and effortless.
- Clean the feeder thoroughly after every use — the pull-through teat design minimises milk residue around teat holes, but regular washing keeps bacteria at bay and supports calf health.
- When not in use, simply stack the feeder bowl back inside the base to save space in the shed — the design is made for compact storage.
- Position the feeder on a firm, level surface whether indoors or outdoors. The solid base provides good stability, but a level ground helps ensure even milk distribution to all 20 teats.
