Stretch the fencing tight along your fence line using a come-along or tractor, keeping it level and free of twists. Attach to posts every 1.2 to 1.5 metres with appropriate fasteners—use high-tensile clips for timber or proprietary brackets for steel posts. Ensure the bottom of the mesh sits flush to the ground to prevent stock pushing underneath, and tension evenly across the full width before final fastening. Tips: Don't over-tension on hot days—the wire will contract as temperatures drop and can snap if already pulled tight. Check your fence line is clear of debris and stumps before installing; rocks and rough ground will wear holes in the mesh faster than anything else. Keep 150mm minimum clearance between the fence and any dense vegetation to stop ivy and growth from loading the mesh and sagging it out of shape.
