Unroll the mesh and stretch it out along your fence line, ensuring it sits flat and level. Secure the top to your existing fence posts or standards using fencing staples or wire, spacing them about 300mm apart to prevent sagging. Pull the mesh taut at the bottom and peg it firmly into the ground with droppers or stakes every 1-2 metres, then check the entire run for gaps where stock could squeeze through. Tips: Install this mesh on the inside of your existing fence line rather than replacing it entirely—this saves time and keeps your posts doing the work they're designed for. Always tension the mesh before you secure it, as loose mesh will sag within weeks and ferals will exploit any gap you leave them. Check your run after heavy rain or wind, as ground movement can create gaps at the base where smaller ferals will test your fence.
