Mount the loadbars horizontally on your fence posts at a height that suits your stock type—typically 600-900mm for cattle, lower for sheep. Slide the energiser output terminal onto one loadbar and the earth return onto the other, ensuring good metal-to-metal contact. Run your live and return wires along the loadbars, securing them with the provided clips to prevent movement and maintain consistent electrical contact. The 1000mm length gives you plenty of space to work with on standard post spacing. Tips: Keep your loadbars clean and free from rust or corrosion—a wire brush and occasional wipe-down with an oily rag will maintain good conductivity and save you troubleshooting grief. Make sure your earth return system is solid before you blame the loadbars; a poor earth will make any system perform poorly. Position loadbars away from areas where stock regularly rub or knock them, as physical damage breaks the circuit just as surely as a broken wire.
