Drive the post into the ground to the depth you need, leaving enough height for your fencing setup. Screw the live tip lockset onto the top of the post—it'll thread on firmly and won't come loose once tightened. Connect your electric fence wire to the live tip terminal, making sure the connection is clean and tight so you don't lose power down the line.
