Kwik Start is the only dried cow’s colostrum available in Australia.

It is a food supplement made from cow’s colostrum, which also contains whey protein, omega-3 and omega-6 fatty acids, vitamins and minerals.

Importantly, it also contains high levels of immunoglobulins and antibacterials – which help establish immunity and intestinal protection for new-born calves, kids, lambs, and foals...  It can be fed in the absence of natural colostrum, or used to bolster colostrum.

Kwik Start should be fed as soon as possible after birth, and preferably before milk is fed.

Kwik Start can be absorbed for up to 48 hours after birth, depending on the species.

First 12 hours:
Do not feed milk during this time.
Prepare a daily dose of Kwik Start as shown in the Animal Feed Chart and feed 1/4 of the amount every 2 hours.

Calves & Foals:
200g in 650ml warm water (daily dose)

Lambs & Kids:
25g in 80ml warm water  (Feed 4 times in the first 24 hours).

For lambs and kids, mix 25g in 80ml warm water and feed 4 times in the first 24 hours. During the first 12 hours, feed 1/4 of the daily amount every 2 hours. Do not mix or feed Kwik Start powder with milk.

Can I use Kwik Start to supplement natural colostrum?

Yes. Kwik Start can be fed in the absence of natural colostrum, or used to bolster colostrum from the dam.
