Kohnke’s Own Donkey Supreme is a concentrated vitamin, mineral and trace-mineral supplement specifically formulated for donkeys. It is designed to help fill nutritional gaps in diets based on pasture, hay, straw and limited browsing, without adding unnecessary sugar, protein or energy.
What is Donkey Supreme designed to provide?
Donkeys have different nutritional requirements from horses, particularly because they are naturally adapted to eating relatively low-energy, fibrous diets. Donkey Supreme provides a concentrated source of nutrients that can be lacking when a donkey has limited access to a wide variety of plants and natural browsing material.
It supplies:
- Calcium, phosphorus and magnesium to support bones and skeletal health.
- Major trace minerals in both inorganic and chelated forms to improve nutrient availability.

Three-pellet Supplet® system
One of the distinctive features is Kohnke’s Supplet® pellet system. The supplement consists of three colour-coded, cold-pressed pellet groups containing compatible nutrients.
This design is intended to help maintain nutrient stability and reduce problems associated with conventional powdered supplements, such as dust, separation, sift-out, sludging and nutrient interactions.
The pellets can be:
- Mixed into wet or dry feed.
- Added to a small amount of chaff.
- Hand-fed as a treat, where appropriate.
