Common Questions

What weeds does Jolt Selective Herbicide control?

Jolt is designed to control major broadleaf weeds in turf, including Capeweed, Cats Ear or Flatweed, Clover, Creeping Oxalis, Cudweed, Jo-Jo (Bindii), Plantain and White Clover. For a complete list of controlled weeds and any others, please refer to the product label.

Can I use Jolt on all turf types?

Jolt is suitable for most turf types, but there are important exceptions. Do not use Jolt on bentgrass or winter grass golf and bowling greens. Some turf varieties may show temporary discolouration—for example, certain buffalo grasses like ST85 may be more affected. It's recommended to test a small area first before large-scale application. Always read the label for complete turf safety information, or contact TGRM on (07) 5482 1692 for advice.

What are the active ingredients in Jolt?

Jolt Selective Herbicide contains three active ingredients: Diflufenican, MCPA and Clopyralid. This three-way mixture provides dual modes of action for effective broadleaf weed control. The product is supplied as a non-ester, low-odour formulation.

What precautions should I take when applying Jolt?

Always shake the container well before use. Apply only to actively growing weeds—do not apply if weeds or turf are under stress, when frosts are imminent, or if rain is expected within 4 hours. Do not use clippings as mulch around other plants or for composting. For difficult-to-wet weeds, a surfactant is recommended. For full safety directions, withholding periods, and application rates, consult the product label or contact a local agronomist or TGRM on (07) 5482 1692.

Where can I find the safety information and label for Jolt?

It is essential to read the registered product label and Safety Data Sheet (SDS) before use. These documents contain critical information about application rates, safety directions, withholding periods, and precautions. You can request these from TGRM at 55 Tozer St, Gympie, or by calling (07) 5482 1692.
