JOINER TEE BSP POLY 3/4" (20mm) FEMALE PHILMAC 90452200 at a glance

Philmac’s robust threaded fittings provide precision BSP tapered threads that have been engineered to maximise sealing performance.

The versatile range is made from high performance, UV resistant polypropylene that does not absorb moisture.

Installation is quick, simple and reliable every time.

The material is also potable water (AS/NZ 4020) approved. (Note: Products marked “Ancillary” are not potable water approved.)

Philmac’s threaded fittings provide maximum versatility, delivering a high performance connection across a wide range of pressure ratings and chemical combinations.

The hexagonal body makes them extremely simple to install. Importantly, Philmac threaded fittings are suitable for working pressures up to PN16 for sizes up to 2”, PN12 for 2-1/2” and PN10 for 3” and 4” sized fittings.

Smart hexagonal design makes the fittings compatible with tools and ensures that Philmac BSP threaded fittings are extremely easy to install.

Philmac threaded fittings are manufactured from high quality materials that ensure strong connections for many years.

The material also has a high degree of UV resistance to ensure long term performance even in direct sunlight.

Insert the barbed ends of the tee fitting firmly into the poly pipe until fully seated, ensuring the pipe is cut square and clean. Slide stainless steel hose clamps over each connection point and tighten securely—clamps should be snug but not over-tightened, which can damage the poly. For the female BSP threaded end, wrap plumber's PTFE tape around the male thread 3-4 times clockwise before screwing in firmly by hand, then tighten with a wrench if needed. Test all connections for leaks under pressure before final installation. Tips: Always use stainless steel clamps with barb fittings in rural Queensland—galvanised clamps will corrode in our climate and fail prematurely. Cut poly pipe square with a sharp knife or pipe cutter and check that barbs slide in smoothly; if resistance is high, warm the pipe end slightly in warm water to soften it. For gravity-fed systems, this 3/4" tee is ideal for distribution headers, but verify your main line sizing first—most farms use 1" upstream to maintain pressure.

Common Questions

What is a Joiner Tee BSP Poly fitting used for?

It's a threaded fitting that joins poly pipe together. The tee shape lets you split flow in three directions, and the BSP threads connect to standard threaded fittings. It's designed for reliable connections across a wide range of pressure ratings and chemical combinations.

Is this fitting safe for drinking water?

Yes. This fitting is potable water approved under AS/NZ 4020, so it's safe to use in systems supplying drinking water.

How easy is it to install?

Installation is quick and simple. The hexagonal body design means you can use standard tools to tighten it, and the precision BSP tapered threads are engineered for reliable connections every time.

Will it hold up outdoors in the sun?

Yes. The fitting is made from UV resistant polypropylene, so it won't degrade in direct sunlight and will perform reliably for many years outdoors.
