JOINER RURAL TEE POLY 2" X 50MM FEMALE PHILMAC 99846600 at a glance

Philmac Rural can be easily disassembled and reconnected simply by loosening the nut and taking the insert out of the body of the fitting.

The pipe can then be freed.

Philmac Rural inserts are self aligning.

Simply bring the insert into the body of the fitting and then tighten the nut with a wrench.

As the nut tightens it will draw the insert into the body of the fitting to create the perfect seal every time.

The flat face of the insert allows the installer to tap it into the pipe with ease.

Because the insert does not need to pass over a seal there is no risk of damaging the seal during installation.

Philmac Rural has been a market leader in Australia for over 20 years, with a strong track record of performance in tough Australian conditions.

Rural, Safelok and Metric components are all interchangeable as they share a common body.

This tee fitting connects three lengths of 2" (50mm) rural poly pipe, with two outlets for the pipe barbs and one female threaded port (Philmac) for connection to taps, valves, or other threaded fittings. Slide the barbed ends fully into the poly pipe and secure each connection with two stainless steel hose clamps positioned just below the barb shoulders. For the threaded female port, wrap the male connector thread with PTFE tape and screw in firmly by hand, then use a wrench for a final quarter-turn to avoid over-tightening. Ensure all connections are watertight before pressurising the system. Tips: Always use stainless steel clamps on barb connections to prevent corrosion and clamp failure in Queensland's coastal and inland conditions. For rural systems exceeding 400kPa, verify all fittings are rated to at least 800kPa to match your poly pipe rating. Test the entire assembly at low pressure first and check for leaks around the threaded port before full operation.
