JOINER RURAL POLY 1" (25mm) PHILMAC 99813300 at a glance

Philmac Rural can be easily disassembled and reconnected simply by loosening the nut and taking the insert out of the body of the fitting.

The pipe can then be freed.

Philmac Rural inserts are self aligning.

Simply bring the insert into the body of the fitting and then tighten the nut with a wrench.

As the nut tightens it will draw the insert into the body of the fitting to create the perfect seal every time.

The flat face of the insert allows the installer to tap it into the pipe with ease.

Because the insert does not need to pass over a seal there is no risk of damaging the seal during installation.

Philmac Rural has been a market leader in Australia for over 20 years, with a strong track record of performance in tough Australian conditions.

Rural, Safelok and Metric components are all interchangeable as they share a common body.

Identify your rural poly pipe size by measuring the inner diameter (typically 1" for gravity-fed systems in Queensland). Select the matching PHILMAC fitting — this 1" joiner is designed to connect two lengths of poly pipe together. Slide stainless steel clamps onto each end of the pipe, insert the barbed ends of the fitting firmly into the pipe until seated, then tighten the clamps securely with a screwdriver. Ensure the connection is watertight before pressurising the system. Tips: Always use stainless steel clamps with barb fittings — galvanised clamps will corrode in rural water systems. Test your poly pipe connections at low pressure before full operation to check for leaks. For easier future disconnection, consider compression fittings at key access points rather than permanent barb joins.

Common Questions

How does the Philmac joiner work?

The insert is self aligning — you bring it into the body of the fitting and tighten the nut with a wrench. As the nut tightens, it draws the insert into the body to create a seal. The flat face of the insert lets you tap it into the pipe easily, and because the insert doesn't need to pass over a seal, there's no risk of damaging it during installation.

Can I take it apart if I need to?

Yes. Simply loosen the nut and take the insert out of the body of the fitting to free the pipe. You can then reconnect it just as easily.
