The Philmac Rural range of compression fittings is made for Australian Rural B Class poly pipe.
Philmac Rural can be easily disassembled and reconnected simply by loosening the nut and taking the insert out of the body of the fitting. The pipe can then be freed.
Philmac Rural inserts are self aligning. The flat face of the insert allows the installer to tap it into the pipe with ease. Simply bring the insert into the body of the fitting and then tighten the nut with a wrench. As the nut tightens it draws the insert into the body of the fitting to create the seal.
The fitting is manufactured from lightweight, high performance thermoplastic materials with impact, UV and corrosion resistance.
Rural, Safelok® and 3G® Metric components are all interchangeable as they share a common body.

How do I install it?
Cut the pipe square and place the nut and grip ring on to the pipe. Tap the insert fully into the pipe until it reaches the shoulder. Position the insert in the body of the fitting, position the grip ring and nut and tighten by hand, then tighten the nut firmly with a wrench. Do not overtighten.
Can it be taken apart and reused?
Philmac Rural can be easily disassembled and reconnected simply by loosening the nut and taking the insert out of the body of the fitting. Philmac states rural compression fittings can be reused provided all components are undamaged and properly reinstalled.
Is it interchangeable with other Philmac fittings?
Rural, Safelok® and 3G® Metric components are all interchangeable as they share a common body.
