JOINER NIPPLE REDUCER BSP 1 3/4” (32mm) X 1" (25mm) PHILMAC 90424300 at a glance

Philmac’s robust threaded fittings provide precision BSP tapered threads that have been engineered to maximise sealing performance.

The versatile range is made from high performance, UV resistant polypropylene that does not absorb moisture.

Installation is quick, simple and reliable every time.

The material is also potable water (AS/NZ 4020) approved. (Note: Products marked “Ancillary” are not potable water approved.)

Philmac’s threaded fittings provide maximum versatility, delivering a high performance connection across a wide range of pressure ratings and chemical combinations.

The hexagonal body makes them extremely simple to install. Importantly, Philmac threaded fittings are suitable for working pressures up to PN16 for sizes up to 2”, PN12 for 2-1/2” and PN10 for 3” and 4” sized fittings.

Smart hexagonal design makes the fittings compatible with tools and ensures that Philmac BSP threaded fittings are extremely easy to install.

Philmac threaded fittings are manufactured from high quality materials that ensure strong connections for many years.

The material also has a high degree of UV resistance to ensure long term performance even in direct sunlight.

This joiner nipple reducer connects two poly pipes of different sizes (1 3/4" to 1") using BSP threaded connections. Wrap the male threads with PTFE tape (3-4 wraps) before screwing into the female threaded socket to create a watertight seal. Tighten firmly by hand, then use a spanner on the hex nut if needed, taking care not to overtighten and crack the fitting. Allow 24 hours for any system pressure to stabilise before full operation. Tips: Always check your existing pipe size by measuring the outer diameter and comparing to imperial sizing charts, as rural poly pipes are sized by inner diameter (1", 1.25", etc.). Use quality stainless steel clamps if converting to barb connections elsewhere in your system, as these won't rust in Queensland's climate. Test the fitting under pressure before burying or permanently installing to ensure a reliable connection.
