JOINER NIPPLE REDUCER BSP 1” (25mm) X 3/4" (20mm) PHILMAC 90423200 at a glance

Philmac’s robust threaded fittings provide precision BSP tapered threads that have been engineered to maximise sealing performance.

The versatile range is made from high performance, UV resistant polypropylene that does not absorb moisture.

Installation is quick, simple and reliable every time.

The material is also potable water (AS/NZ 4020) approved. (Note: Products marked “Ancillary” are not potable water approved.)

Philmac’s threaded fittings provide maximum versatility, delivering a high performance connection across a wide range of pressure ratings and chemical combinations.

The hexagonal body makes them extremely simple to install. Importantly, Philmac threaded fittings are suitable for working pressures up to PN16 for sizes up to 2”, PN12 for 2-1/2” and PN10 for 3” and 4” sized fittings.

Smart hexagonal design makes the fittings compatible with tools and ensures that Philmac BSP threaded fittings are extremely easy to install.

Philmac threaded fittings are manufactured from high quality materials that ensure strong connections for many years.

The material also has a high degree of UV resistance to ensure long term performance even in direct sunlight.

This joiner nipple reducer connects two poly pipe sizes (1" to 3/4") using BSP threaded connections on both ends. Wrap thread tape around the male threads 3-4 times clockwise before screwing into female fittings hand-tight, then use an adjustable wrench for a final quarter turn. Ensure pipes are cut square and clean before connecting, and check that the reducer is oriented correctly for your flow direction. Do not over-tighten as this can crack the fitting. Tips: Use this fitting at connection points like pump outlets or filter assemblies where you need to step down from larger to smaller pipe diameter. Install in easily accessible locations so you can service or disconnect the fitting if needed. For permanent installations, consider solvent weld fittings instead; threaded fittings allow easier future disconnection but may require periodic tightening.
