Philmac’s threaded fittings provide maximum versatility, delivering a high performance connection across a wide range of pressure ratings and chemical combinations.

The hexagonal body makes them extremely simple to install. Importantly, Philmac threaded fittings are suitable for working pressures up to PN16 for sizes up to 2”, PN12 for 2-1/2” and PN10 for 3” and 4” sized fittings.

Smart hexagonal design makes the fittings compatible with tools and ensures that Philmac BSP threaded fittings are extremely easy to install.

The material also has a high degree of UV resistance to ensure long term performance even in direct sunlight.

The 3/4" (20mm) joiner nipple is designed to connect two pieces of rural poly pipe end-to-end using barb connection method. Slide the barb end of the fitting into each poly pipe end, ensuring the pipe is pushed fully onto the barb until it reaches the shoulder of the fitting. Secure each connection with two stainless steel hose clamps (one near the end, one in the middle) tightened firmly but not over-tightened to avoid pipe damage. This creates a reliable flexible joint suitable for gravity-fed and low-pressure farm water systems. Tips: Always use stainless steel clamps with barb fittings to prevent rust and corrosion in outdoor rural environments. For easier insertion, warm the poly pipe slightly in warm water before sliding it onto the barb, or lubricate with a small amount of water. Check clamp tightness annually, as thermal expansion and contraction in Queensland's climate may require adjustment.
