What is this fitting used for?
This is a joiner elbow — it connects two pieces of pipe or tubing at a 90-degree angle. The female BSP threads on both ends allow it to screw onto male BSP fittings or threaded pipe ends.
Is it safe for drinking water?
Yes. This fitting is potable water approved to AS/NZ 4020, so it's safe to use in systems that carry drinking water.
What's it made from and will it hold up outdoors?
It's made from high-performance UV-resistant polypropylene that doesn't absorb moisture. That means it'll last a long time even in direct sunlight and won't degrade from weather or water exposure.
How tight do I need to screw it on?
The fitting has a hexagonal body, so you can use a spanner or wrench to tighten it securely. The BSP tapered threads are engineered for a good seal — just tighten firmly with a tool and you're done. Don't over-torque it.
What water pressure can it handle?
