Philmac’s threaded fittings provide maximum versatility, delivering a high performance connection across a wide range of pressure ratings and chemical combinations.

The hexagonal body makes them extremely simple to install. Importantly, Philmac threaded fittings are suitable for working pressures up to PN16 for sizes up to 2”, PN12 for 2-1/2” and PN10 for 3” and 4” sized fittings.

Smart hexagonal design makes the fittings compatible with tools and ensures that Philmac BSP threaded fittings are extremely easy to install.

The material also has a high degree of UV resistance to ensure long term performance even in direct sunlight.

Install the JOINER BUSH by inserting the barbed ends firmly into the poly pipe until fully seated, ensuring the pipe is clean and straight. Secure each connection with two stainless steel hose clamps positioned tightly around the barb section. This fitting creates a 90-degree elbow join between 2" and 1" poly pipes, making it ideal for directional changes in rural water systems. Ensure the system is depressurised before installation and test for leaks under full operating pressure. Tips: Use stainless steel clamps exclusively with barb fittings to prevent rust and corrosion in Queensland's climate. Warm the poly pipe slightly in hot water before pushing onto barbs for easier insertion and a tighter seal, especially in cooler weather. Cut pipe ends cleanly with a sharp knife and remove any burrs to ensure proper seating and prevent clamp slippage.
